A report online has claimed that Outlander and Game of Thrones actor Tobias Menzies is wanted for a key role in The Batman Part II.

According to PopFilm, that role is Amadeus Arkham, the founder of Arkham Asylum, Gotham City’s facility to house the criminally insane. Arkham State Hospital appeared in the first film, but not the asylum. Paul Dano’s Riddler ended up in that facility at the end of the previous movie alongside Barry Keoghan’s proto-Joker.
Robert Pattinson will be back as Bruce Wayne/Batman, alongside Colin Farrell as The Penguin, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon. Keoghan will also return.

Production starts at Warner Bros. Studios in Leavesden, North London, on New Year’s Day. The release is set for October 2027.
The Batman made over $770 million at the box office in the depths of the post-COVID cinema landscape. The sequel has been a long, long time coming, and in the meantime, the entire DCU sprang into being, rendering this as an Elseworlds project outside the main franchise.
