Toy Story was a perfect trilogy; it had a perfect arc for the characters, and the ending was perfect. Sadly, it made just over $1 billion at the box office, so you know what that means?
Toy Story 4 came out in 2019, and again, made just over $1 billion. I’ve seen the fourth one, but couldn’t tell you a thing about it now. All I remember is that Keanu Reeves was in it.
Since the box office takings were so much, yes, there’s a 5th movie on the way, with a new teaser now online.
Yes, toys have now reached the digital age. I wonder if the new Lilypad Tablet will have adult features disabled? Otherwise, Toy Story will take a very different turn.
Most of the original cast are back for this fifth outing: Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Joan Cusack, Blake Clark and Tony Hale. This time, though, they are joined by Greta Lee as Lilypad and Conan O’Brien as Smarty Pants.
McKenna Harris and Andrew Stanton are directing this outing. Stanton has an interesting list of credits, starting with A Bug’s Life, Finding Nemo, and Wall-E, he then did John Carter and episodes of Better Call Saul, Stranger Things and 3 Body Problems.
