Another Roswell Movie On The Way

It’s a curious phenomenon. For decades, there were UFO sightings and fuzzy photographs everywhere. However, now vast swathes of the planet are covered in always-on cameras, and every adult carries a hi-def camera in their pocket at all times. nothing. Not a single credible image. The sightings have almost completely dried up. Same with ghosts. Despite this, the legend of Roswell will seemingly never die.

Maybe something from Roswell can help explain why aliens only ever decide to make contact with, and probe, Cleetus from Bumfuck, Idaho, when he’s alone in a remote location, rather than contacting great scientists or important leaders?

Maybe the new Roswell-centric movie, coming from filmmaker Scott Cooper (Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere) and 20th Century Studios will seek to answer some of these riddles.

The as-yet-untitled new UFO film will be directed and written by Cooper, while Eric Robinson and Ellen Goldsmith-Vein produce.

According to a report in Deadline, it is a thriller that will deal with the events in Roswell, New Mexico, in 1947 when a rancher found debris scattered around his property, and the government seemingly swarmed on the location, as rumors flew of a UFO-related event.

Roswell

The army reported that the debris was from a crashed weather balloon, but that didn’t stop the rampant speculation. Even the revelation that Roswell was part of Project Mogul, which used weather balloons to monitor Soviet missile tests, couldn’t stop the narrative.
