Gunn Updates On DCU

James Gunn has always been active on social media, engaging with fans directly via his Threads channel.

After a quiet Christmas and New Year, things are clearly starting to move again at pace at DC Studios, and Gunn has once again taken to  Threads to give updates.

His posts are exceptionally useful for dismissing nonsense internet rumors about projects, as he’s never reluctant to shoot down nonsense when it is written.

In his latest posts, he confirmed that cinematographer Sam McCurdy (Shogun, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters) will be with him on Man Of Tomorrow.

Speaking of the Superman sequel, he also confirmed that any rumors about Batman and Wonder Woman appearing in that movie are completely untrue.

He went further, saying that no casting will happen for either of those characters until their adventures have a script, and he won’t be doing anything in the world of Batman until after The Batman: Part II has been released.

He confirmed Clayface is on track for late September, and that a trailer is still a few months away.

Finally, he revealed that there are a number of other DCU projects, including movies, all ready for a green light now, and that a “secret” project has already been approved and is underway.
