We live in a world of fake news, AI content and women ghosting me. When I saw a tweet saying that Ronda Rousey will fight Gina Carano, I thought it was fake. However, it’s not fake, it’s real, as real as Sydney Sweeney.
Firstly, lets talk about the fight itself, then get on to the fighters.
The MMA Main Event
Netflix announced that it would broadcast a live MMA fight, with the main event being a fight between Rousey and Carano.
Today, Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) and Netflix announced the mixed martial arts event that will be headlined by the return of former UFC Champion and Olympic medalist Ronda Rousey (12-2, 9 submissions, 3 KOs), who’ll compete in her first fight in nearly a decade against fellow women’s MMA pioneer Gina Carano (7-1, 1 submission, 3 KOs).
Both found fame in the UFC and MMA, and both have thrown their hat into the ring with acting; we will look at that further in the article. However, both are known as fighters, but they have not faced off before.
Both Rousey and Carano are in the featherweight division, at about 145 pounds. The fight will be over 5 five-minute rounds, using 4-ounce gloves.
The fight will take place on 16th May at the Intuit Dome in LA. It will be live-streamed on Netflix on all plans.
Rousey vs Carano
So, on to comparing Rousey vs Carano. Let’s break it down.
In the Ring
No, not like that, you pervert. This is about how each of the ladies has done in their fighting careers.
As mentioned, Rousey has had 12 wins, 9 submissions, 3 KOs, and 2 losses. Carano has had 7 wins, 1 submission, 3 KOs, and 1 loss. So, Rousey takes it in the ring.
No, that sounds bad. I’ll try again. In the opening round, Rousey takes the lead.

I can’t say I’ve seen either of them fight. I’m not into girls fighting, unless there is mud or jelly involved. I’ve always had the impression that Rousey is one tough nut. If I got in the ring with her, I would only hope I could run around until she got tired and gave up after seeing me cry.
In the Square Ring
I should stop making ring jokes, but I’m not going to. Rousey turned her hand to wrestling in the WWE. She has also won a bronze medal in Judo at the Olympics.
Carano went from MMA to acting and missed things like wrestling. I guess Rousey takes this round as well. Having an Olympic medal is pretty impressive, but then it loses some of that credibility because some of the WWE isn’t real. #spoiler
The Big Screen
The Last Movie Outpost is all about movies, with a little banter thrown in. So, how have the ladies done on the silver screen?
Rousey won’t take long, as she has not been in a lot. On the IMDb, she has 37 acting credits, but most of them are appearances in the WWE, which are not movies. Her movie and TV casting brings her credits down to 11. I think I’ve only seen her in Fast 7.
Carano, on the other hand, has made a great transition into acting. She only has 17 credits to her name, but they are all in movies and a couple of video games. The movies include Haywire, Fast & Furious 6, Extraction, Deadpool, and The Mandalorian. She was only in 7 episodes of Mando and then was ‘asked to leave’.
Carano’s performances aren’t Oscar-worthy, but she is generally good. Cara Dune from Mando could have had her own series if it weren’t for Disney.

For acting, it has to go to Carano; she was a promising actress before Disney got hypocritical. This is compared to Rousey, who feels more like someone who knows their lines and is able to stand on a cue.
Outside The Ring
If I was to be really shallow, I would say that Carano has a smile to die for, and is tough yet feminine.

Rousey, on the other hand, looks like she would rip my head off if I didn’t open the door for her. Sure, she’s feminine and attractive, but she has a murderous look in her eye.
Final Results
For fighting, it could be Rousey that takes it. For acting, it’s probably Carano.

But let’s put this to a vote: Who do you rate more, Rousey or Carano?
Let’s base it on all accounts, who’s a better actress, a better fighter, and in the comments, say who you think will win the fight.
