Indie Trailer: THE LAND OF SOMETIMES

It’s all blood, guts and sex these days. How about something nice for all the family? The Land of Sometimes is just that.

OK, so it’s a bit too nicey nicey, but now and then, a good palette cleanser is just what the doctor ordered. The Land of Sometimes has a great cast: Ewan McGregor, Helena Bonham Carter, Jessica Henwick, Mel Brooks, Asa Butterfield, and Terry Jones.

It also features new songs by Tim Rice and Pete Hobbs. The story for the movie is:

Twins Alfie and Elise find a magical Wish Watch on Christmas Eve and are swept by the Wish Collector into the musical Land of Sometimes, where they learn that wishes have consequences.

The rest is from the press release. Based on the original audiobook by Francesca Longrigg, The Land of Sometimes comes from the producers of Saving Santa, Toy Story, and How to Train Your Dragon, and with new songs by three-time Academy Award® winner Tim Rice (The Lion King, Aladdin, Evita).

Twins Alfie and Elise get more than they bargained for after summoning the mysterious Wish Collector, an enigmatic character who whisks them away to The Land of Sometimes – an incredible place where all four seasons pass in just one day. Granted with a total of six wishes, the pair soon learn that they’ll need to be careful what they wish for, embarking on a magical, musical journey filled with fantastical creatures and a truth that shines brighter than any wish: the power of family.

The Land of Sometimes will be in UK cinemas from the 20th of March.
