Weight Loss Woes Cause Worries

For a short while, in Hollywood, it was all about body positivity; big is beautiful. Beautiful at any size. Everyone in Hollywood was not worried about weight loss, because you didn’t have to spend years at the gym; if it was just genetics, there’s nothing you can do, right?

This was all good and fine until a wonder-drug came out that made everyone thin. Ozempic was originally designed for people with diabetes. Ozempic is a brand name for semaglutide, also known as Wegovy.

All of a sudden, there was no need to hit the gym, watch what you eat, or do any of the hard work to get slim. Take the new wonder drug, and you will be on the road to weight loss.

There have been several ladies who have ‘all of a sudden’ lost a lot of weight. It cannot be confirmed that certain ladies have been on any wonder drug, but judge for yourself.

Kelly Osbourne

Daughter of music legend Ozzy Osbourne, shot to fame in the reality show, cleverly entitled The Osbournes. She seemed to be a cheeky young lady, to have a bit of weight on her, but jolly with it. She seemed happy with who she was and good for her.

Osbourne has gone on the record that she has been taking Ozempic, and it’s changed her life. In one of her podcasts, she said:

“…But the truth is, my opinion used to be the same as the people who didn’t like my opinion on Ozempic until I met somebody who lost weight from Ozempic, and it changed their life.

They explained to me how it took the mental obsession with food away and from that reprieve allowed them to dig deeper through therapy and really figure out who they were and how life-changing it was for them. It completely changed my opinion on it so I’m like yeah, it’s great. If there’s a medication out there that can help people lose weight then what’s so bad about it?”

The results are, well, here’s a before and after.

Mindy Kaling

Back in the days of The Office, Mindy Kaling would make light of her weight and say how beautiful she was on the inside. Recently, she has been sharing online that she’s lost over 40 pounds in weight, and now she looks very different, see the image below.

The reasons for her dramatic weight loss? Her family. She is now the mother to three children, and she wants to “live another 20 years” to see them grow up. She doesn’t want to succumb to anything like diabetes.

Now, Kaling has said that she hasn’t been taking any drugs for her weight loss; it’s all been done by “eating smaller portions”. She told Entertainment Weekly:

“I eat what I like to eat. If I do any kind of restrictive diet, it never really works for me. I just eat less of it.”

This is brilliant thinking; she’s just solved the problem of obesity in the world! Her new weight loss is being hailed as ‘stunning and brave’, because, well, it’s mainstream media. It’s a ‘journey’ she’s been on.

Other Hollywood Weight Loss

If you do a search online, there are many images of people who have been through dramatic weight loss, and there are rumours of who might have been taking Ozempic.

I said recently that in a movie, I saw Johan Hill, and he looked incredibly different from his former self.

Other names have images online, usually with speculation; Rebel Wilson, John Goodman, Kelly Clarkson, Lizzo, Katy Perry, and even ‘twigs’ like Ariana Grande. We ran a story about the ‘emotional’ Wicked publicity, and there certainly seemed to be something up.

Sadly, I found a photo of Olivia Widle. Again, there’s no confirmation that she’s been taking any weight loss drug, but she does look very different.

Is It Dangerous?

I’m not going to sit here and go into the ins and outs of weight loss. I’m a little overweight, but I’m fine with that. When the zombie apocalypse happens, I won’t be able to run away, and I’ve made peace with it.

However, younger, more impressionable minds can be easily sucked into the wonders of Ozempic, and might want to take the ‘weight loss journey’ that some of the Hollywood stars have taken.

I know my sister would like to take it. She’s so fat that to get her out of the house, we have to grease up the door frame and hold a KitKat on the other side. She doesn’t want to go through all the hassle of eating right or going to the gym. She’s got about as much chance of going to the gym as I do of having a weekend with Jessica.

What are your thoughts? Would you take Ozempic? Do you think these Hollywood stars are setting a good example, whether they are taking the drug or not?

Again, it’s speculation, but this is what Demi Moore looks like now.
