According to reports in Vanity Fair and Rolling Stone, a former assistant of Fast and Furious star Vin Diesel filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles yesterday alleging the actor sexually battered her while she was working for him during the filming of Fast Five. This was back in 2010.
The plaintiff, Asta Jonasson, stated in the filing that she was hired by Diesel’s production company, One Race, to work for the actor on location in Atlanta. The lawsuit alleges that Jonasson was asked to wait for Diesel in his hotel suite while he was out with hostesses he had brought back from a nightclub. Upon his return, Diesel allegedly “pulled her onto the bed …. and molested her body.”
The allegations claim that Diesel then masturbated in front of her while pinning her to a wall before he left her alone in the hotel suite.
Shortly after the assault, she was fired by Diesel’s sister and One Race president Samantha Vincent after less than two weeks on the job.
In the suit, it is claimed that:
“It was clear to her that she was being fired because she was no longer useful.”
The lawsuit also goes on to make additional accusations of discrimination based on sex/gender, intentional infliction of emotional distress, hostile work environment, wrongful termination, and retaliation. Representatives for Diesel and his production company haven’t responded to outlets as they seek a comment.
