Brown & Harbour Back Together On Screen

Remember at the end of last year, when there were all sorts of rumors of a breakdown in the on-set relationship between Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour while making the final series of Stranger Things?

Well, it turns out it was either all confected tabloid nonsense, or the lure of a paycheck is enough to heal all wounds. Brown and Harbour are set to re-team for a new spy drama series from A24 for Netflix from the Emmy-winning Adolescence and Lord of the Flies writer Jack Thorne.

Thorne writes and executive produces the as-yet-untitled project. Both stars also receive executive producer credits.

Stranger-Things

The series will follow a disgraced FBI agent turned security expert named Matt Wolfe (Harbour), who is drawn back into the world he left behind when his estranged daughter, Rebecca (Brown) – now an FBI agent determined to follow in his footsteps – vanishes on a mission, forcing him to return to a field that has evolved beyond him.

Jinny Howe, Netflix head of scripted series for North America, said in the press release:

“We are delighted to bring this spy drama to life with an extraordinary group of talent we’ve been fortunate to collaborate with before. Jack Thorne’s ability to find the deeply human story inside a thriller is unmatched, and watching Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour reunite — this time as estranged father and daughter on opposite sides of a crisis — is something audiences are going to love. A24 is the perfect partner to bring this story to our members around the world.”

No screen date is yet known for the show.
