Nicolas Cage fighting a horde of rampaging cannibals in a Mad Max 2-style post-apocalyptic siege movie? Well, shit, boy, that’s all you had to say! According to Deadline, Cage has signed up to star in Parish.
He takes on the role of a hardened survivor from a nuclear apocalypse three decades in the past. He survives with the help of his highly-trained attack dogs, and with a single and totally unbreakable rule – never let anyone through the gate.
When a desperate woman carrying an infant appears outside his sanctuary, he is forced to choose. Of course, his decisions reveal the refuge he has spent years building, and pit him against a band of cannibals that has been roaming the wasteland. Well-equipped, but besieged from all sides, he finds himself in a brutal fight to survive.

Nandor Fodor and the Talking Mongoose writer-director Adam Sigal fulfills the same duties again here. Parish will shoot this October in Minnesota.
It is produced by Joel Shapiro and Steven Tyler Sahlein. David Tattersall (Con Air) is cinematographer. Concourse Media is pre-selling Parish ahead of TIFF.
