Peacock had a bit of an oopsie last week, when the trailer for their new Friday the 13th prequel series Crystal Lake accidentally leaked online. However, the blow was somewhat softened by the overwhelmingly positive reaction to the trailer.
So A24 and Peacock stepped up and officially released the trailer.
Crystal Lake is an eight-episode series that follows single mother Pam Voorhees, who has been unable to shake her grief after her young, sickly son Jason tragically drowned in the town lake almost a year before. When two strangers arrive at Pam’s door, digging into her past, a disturbing chain of events is set into motion that leaves the townspeople of Crystal Lake wondering: just who is Pam Voorhees?
Linda Cardellini (Dead to Me) plays Voorhees.
Callum Vinson, Danielle Kotch, Phoenix Parnevik, Cameron Scoggins, Nick Cordileone, William Catlett, and Devin Kessler co-star.
Crystal Lake is from showrunner Brad Caleb Kane (It: Welcome to Derry) and it premieres on October 15th on Peacock in the US and on Sky TV in the UK.
