It’s weird in Hollywood; you get one idea, but two movies. Armageddon and Deep Impact, Volcano and Dante’s Peak, The Prestige and The Illusionist. We reported the other day that Future Mrs Boba, I mean, Jessica Chastain is in Other Mommy.
Well, there’s another ‘mommy’ movie on the way, with David F. Sandberg directing. Mommy’s House does have a cast just yet, but the story is:
When a 24-year-old woman is unfrozen decades later, her son, now a father himself, faces a terrifyingly unhinged family life.
How did she get frozen? Is it like Frostillicus in The Simpsons?
Sandberg is currently working on a movie called Below. No, not the Below we mentioned the other day, another one. What did I just say about movies coming out in twos?
Sandberg’s Below is about:
Fresh out of a spell in prison a man attempts to set his life right by working a mysterious job that requires him to seek out life forms hidden amongst us.
It’s a horror, and there is no mention of sharks. I’m a bit sharked out at the moment.
Sandberg is best known for Shazam! and Shazam! Fury of the Gods. Two movies I have seen, but never returned to. His last movie, Until Dawn, which was based on the video game, was not good.
We’ll have to wait and see what Mommy’s House will be like.
