DUNGEON CRAWLER CARL Ordered

Imagine the scene. An alien invasion has wiped out most of humanity. The few survivors are now forced to compete on a sadistic, deadly intergalactic gameshow – Dungeon Crawler World: Earth. How could things be any worse for Coast Guard vet Carl?

Well, for a start, he’s got bare feet. And he’s been teamed up with his ex-girlfriend’s award-winning, pedigree-breed, tiara-wearing cat, Princess Donut – the Queen Ann Chonk – as his partner on the gameshow. A cat that can now talk.

Now all they have to do is work together to survive the end of the world, fight monsters, aliens, sociopathic A.I., and even the other human survivors, all for the sake of ratings. The apocalypse will be televised, just don’t get cancelled.

This is the insane premise of Matt Dinniman’s popular science-fantasy RPG Dungeon Crawler series, and it has impressed Peacock so much that they have handed out a straight-to-series order for a live-action adaptation.

It will be made by Seth MacFarlane’s Fuzzy Door and Universal Global Television. Dinniman will co-executive produce, and Chris Yost will write.

The rest of the exec roster is MacFarlane, Erica Huggins, and Rachel Hargreaves-Heald.
