New York Comic Con has happened this weekend, so there are some reveals kicking around out there. Among them is this, the full trailer for Amazon Prime Video’s Blade Runner 2099.
The limited series is set half a century after the events of Denis Villeneuve’s Blade Runner 2049.
After the events of that film, the world has been transformed and humanity is no longer in control after a replicant uprising. Humans are second-class citizens.
Michelle Yeoh stars as Olwen, a replicant Blade Runner hunting a group of missing rogue replicants as she approaches the predetermined end of her lifespan.
Hunter Schafer co-stars as Cora, a human fugitive who has spent her life running from Blade Runners but must now pretend to be one.
Blade Runner 2049 writer Michael Green helped develop the project, while original director Ridley Scott is an adviser and executive producer.
The show rolls on Prime on November 25th.
