Hudson & de Armas To PALM GROVE

When was the last big erotic thriller? Basic Instinct? I may be too distant from the genre as I am struggling to name one.

There have been a few, but have any gone big and entered the mainstream?

It turns out that Anna de Armas is no stranger to the genre, having starred in Adrian Lyne’s Deep Water. She’s going again with Palm Grove.

She will be joined by her fellow Knives Out star Kate Hudson. Already I am getting pillow fights and possibly giggling.

Palm Grove is set up at Chernin Entertainment with Kornél Mundruczó (White God, Pieces of a Woman) as director and James Morosini (I Love My Dad) writes.

He movie is going up for sale to find a distributor.

The report in Deadline says the story is set in a highly exclusive Miami neighborhood where a picture-perfect wife uncovers her husband’s double life. This ignites a seductive power game that turns betrayal into the most intoxicating game of her life.

Definitely pillow fights.

Peter Chernin, David Ready, and Brady Fujikawa will produce.
