A TV version of Robocop was announced last year for Amazon MGM Studios, heading to the Prime streaming platform.
Now comes the news that The Conjuring and Aquaman director James Wan will not only produce, but he will also direct key episodes.
According to a report in World of Reel, the series that will kick off a six-month shoot in Vancouver from January.
No details are known about the plot, but it is expected to be a new telling of the story of Officer Murphy, and will not continue on from the original movies, the 1990s television show, or the more recent movie reboot.

The original story was conceived by Edward Neumeier while working on the set of Blade Runner, and he developed the idea with Michael Miner.
Their script was purchased in early 1985 by producer Jon Davison on behalf of Orion Pictures.
