Indie Trailers: ROW And FRANKIE FREAKO

Some more indie trailers for you, both are about to have a UK release.

Row

Row is an indie movie from Matthew Losasso, and it’s about being at sea, in a boat, and rowing.

The story is:

After a failed trans-Atlantic WR attempt, a woman washes ashore on a blood stained rowing boat. With all of her crew mates missing, presumed dead, she must try and piece together fractured memories of the ordeal to prove her innocence.

It looks like a small-scale production, mostly set on the boat, with everyone going a little mad and distrusting each other. The cast includes Akshay Khanna, Sophie Skelton, Bella Dayne, Jonna Roth, Jenny Quinn, and Nick Skaugen.

Row is due out on the 21st of June.

Frankie Freako

At first sight of this indie movie, I wasn’t impressed, but it’s from the director of Psycho Goreman.

It’s a fun hark back to the 80s and movies like Gremlins, Ghoulies and Critters. As I said, the indie director, Steve Kostanski, has a good track record; he is known for movies like Psycho Goreman and The Void (2016), both of which are far better than they should be.

Frankie Freako stars Conor Sweeny, Adam Brooks, Kristy Wordsworth, Rob Schrab, Rich Evans, and Mike Stoklasa. You know those last two from Red Letter Media. If they can get in movies, we need to start the Last Movie Outpost Livestream backup!

This indie movie came out in September 2024 in the US and is due for release on the 14th of July in the UK. I’ve asked for a screener, it could be fun.
