We heard a little while ago that It: Welcome to Derry was on the way. Set as a prequel before the events in It: Chapter 1 & 2. A trailer is now online.
It looks scary and It takes place before It. The Knights of Ni are not going to watch it, it’s one of the words they cannot hear.
It: Welcome to Derry stars Jovan Adepo, Bill Skarsgard, Taylor Paige, Joshua Odjick, Miles Ekhart, Grant Nickalls, Madeleine Stowe, and James Remar. Andy Muschietti, who directed the It: Chapter 1 & 2, is directing episodes in the series.
The story for Welcome to Derry is:
It will follow the events in the 1960s, the time leading up to the events of the first film in the Stephen King It series.
The show will premiere on HBO and will be streaming on HBO Max. The series is produced by Warner Bros. Television and HBO. Andy and Barbara Muschietti are the executive producers, with Jason Fuchs and Brad Kane serving as the creators.
There is no news on when It: Welcome to Derry will be streaming, but it is thought around autumn, or fall as Americans call it. Chances are it will be around Halloween maybe? It would make sense.
