Jurassic World Rebirth has a new trailer!
Will we get more glimpses of that weird mutant T-Rex? Maybe! The Distortus Rex, as they call it, is featured in a few shots of this new trailer. I have no idea how that compares to the first trailer because — and I’m going to be completely honest with you here — I’m not sure I watched the first trailer. Every Jurassic Park movie has blurred together in my brain at this point into a stewed mush of dinosaurs roaring on islands.
Jurassic World Rebirth is directed by Gareth Edwards, and he knows his way around large dinosaurs — literally! Edwards helmed Godzilla 2014 and was so deft at working around the lovable lizard that he hardly showed him…
David Koepp wrote the screenplay. He was involved with the first two Jurassic Park movies. Just when he thought he was out, they pulled him back in.
Premise Of New Dino-Movie:
The basic story of this latest entry in the dinosaurs-amok cinematic universe is thus:
Five years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion, the surviving creatures now reside in remote, tropical locales. Zora Bennett, a covert operative, is recruited by a pharmaceutical industry to collaborate with paleontologist Dr. Henry Loomis and team leader Duncan Kincaid on a top-secret mission. They must locate the three largest remaining prehistoric species from land, sea, and air and retrieve horcruxes from them to defeat Voldemort.
Wait…that doesn’t sound right. Let me check my notes…
Sorry, they are looking for biomaterials to make a new drug, possibly something that Huey Lewis might enjoy. Along the way, they make friends and fight a mutant T-Rex.
For now, Jurassic World Rebirth looks to be Pedro Pascal-free. Instead, Scarlett Johansson stars, likely fiercely. Jonathan Bailey portrays Beta-Man. His character’s last name is “Loomis.” Does this mean we are getting a Halloween crossover?
We will have to wait until July 2 to find out. Until then, you will have to get by on the other Jurassic Park movies and Carnosaur. Check out the trailer…
