Who doesn’t love an in-depth movie documentary? The sheer majesty of RoboDoc remains undefeated. Four whole hours on the making of RoboCop? We didn’t know we needed it until we got it. Next up to get some pretty cool documentary treatment is Jaws. Hold up… (checks notes)… Jaws The Revenge? Are you sure? Holy moly!
You know what? Let’s go with this, as the story behind Jaws The Revenge is actually more interesting than the movie itself. We talked about a lot of this in a previous article here at Last Movie Outpost.
Also, this documentary features Lance Guest. Not only is he The Last Starfighter, so he always gets a bit of a pass, but he is also a friend of LMO and an all-round good egg, as you can see from our interview with him a couple of months ago.
So what is this new documentary all about? Called Jaws Goes To The Bahamas, it will tell the story behind Jaws The Revenge and showcases the 40th anniversary of Jaws: The Revenge, including how it has risen from from box office flop to a kind of cult classic with a following.
Jaws Goes To The Bahamas features interviews with Guest (Michael Brody), Pete Romano (Underwater Camera Operator), Anthony C. Ferrante (Sharknado), and many more involved in both the movie itself, and its subsequent newly discovered fanbase.
Jaws Goes To The Bahamas is in production and is set for release in Summer 2027.
