When Loki returns for a second season on Disney+ on October 6th we will see what that impact is. According to the information released so far, the new series will follow directly on from the finale of the last season.

Loki will find himself in a battle for the very soul of the Time Variance Authority and will team up with Mobius, Hunter B-15, and some new and returning characters to navigate an ever-expanding and increasingly dangerous multiverse in search of Sylvie, Judge Renslayer, Miss Minutes and the truth of what it means to possess free will and glorious purpose.

The new season sees the return of Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Sophia Di Martino as Sylvie, Owen Wilson as Mobius, Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Judge Renslayer, and Wunmi Mosaku as Hunter B-15. new jopiners are Ke Huy Quan, Rafael Casal, and Kate Dickie. Jonathan Majors retains the role of Kang and will appear as several variants.

The new season has a new head writer and new directors. Executive producer Eric Martin and Moon Knight directors Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead take over from head writer Michael Waldron and director Kate Herron. They are both still remaining on board as producers. Here is the trailer:
