Monday’s Movie Memes… And Moan

Another Monday, another week, and another soul-destroying and bleak existence. That’s a little depressing, so let’s cheer ourselves up with memes. Well, before the Monday Movie Memes, we can have a moan.

My Monday moan is about Steve Speilberg. The reason? I’m currently watching The Adventures of Tintin (2011).

When you think of Spielberg, you think of his biggest movies: Jaws, Indie, E.T., Jurassic Park. No one mentions Tintin. Why? Because it’s just a massive letdown.

At the height of his career, Spielberg had something like 4 or 5 of the biggest movies of all time. I still stand by this statement: He hasn’t made a good summer blockbuster since Jurassic Park. Everything after that has been good, but just not great, like it was in his early years.

Tintin is a great little movie, a good story, action and adventure, but the entire thing is just lifeless. The animation is good, but just dull to look at; nothing is real. And you know what I mean by that. If Tintin had been a live-action movie, it might have been so much better. Who knows?

Disclosure Day came and went, and I had no desire to see it at the cinema. Sure, I’ll catch it on streaming when it’s out, but I didn’t have the thrill or excitement of attending the first showing of Last Crusade when it came out. As I remember, I dressed up, even wearing a tie. The cinema was packed, and it was a proper cinema experience.

Anyway, that’s my Monday Moan; what do you need to have a moan about? And here are the memes.
