It’s another Monday, and another start of the week. Did you survive Halloween? In the UK, they keep trying to make it a “thing”, but with mixed results. It’s just another commercial event made to make money for big corporations!
Now it’s November, there are going to be two months of Christmas advertisements to cope with. Don’t buy into it, bring down the system, fight the man!
Where was I?… Oh, yeah, Monday’s memes. Before we get to them, what do you need to moan about?
My moan is about modern horror. Friday night, I had the evening to myself, so I tried to find a good horror to watch. I read that The Cellar (2022) was really scary, so I found tracked it down and put it on.
*sigh*
This is why I shouldn’t trust the internet. The Cellar was pretty creepy and built the tension well. However, the story was one of the stupidest things I’ve ever had to endure. Basically, the teenage daughter walks into the cellar and disappears. The mother has to find her- how? Because of maths, that’s how.
I’m not joking.
When the mother finally gets down the stairs, she ends up in purgatory, where there are millions of lost souls. It’ll be hard to find her daughter down there amongst all those people.
She literally turns up in purgatory and sees her daughter within seconds! I laughed out loud at the sheer audacity of the terrible writing.
