Another Monday, another week of work, will this nightmare ever end? It seems like it happens every seven days, we should start a petition to move Monday to another day. Maybe call it something else, like Free Bacon Sandwich Day.
What did you watch over the weekend? Anything to report on this Monday?
I saw Bullet Train: Explosion, which had the worst storyline I’ve seen in a while. You can see my review here. I also watched Neighbourhood Watch, with Jack Quaid and Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
I’m not sure who this movie is for. It’s about a mentally ill (their words, not mine) Quaid, who sees a kidnapping. He wants to help and joins up with Dean Morgan, an ex-security guard.
In most movies, where there is a kidnapping, there’s a vested interest for the main protagonist. Not here, there isn’t, he just happened to be walking by. It was just like a typical Monday for him.
To make up for that, I watched Cannon’s Invaders from Mars (1986), by Tobe Hooper. This was lots of fun, I mean, it’s bloody stupid, but lots of fun. There are great special effects from Phil Tippet and Stan Winston.
