SIREN HEAD On The Big Screen

You know what’s hot right now? YouTube directors and making big-screen movies. The latest movie-from-YouTube looks like it’s Siren Head.

I have heard of Siren Head, and I have seen some short videos about it. Originally created by Trevor Henderson, it became a bit of a phenomenon. Searching now, there are a lot of them now, which is mostly people making their own version of the original video.

The lore of Siren Head is an interesting read; you see more about it here.

Deadline has announced that a new Siren Head movie is on the way. They have said that Brian Duffield will direct, with Zach Cregger penning the script.

Duffield is known for No One Will Save You, and the upcoming Whalefall. Cregger is known for Barbarian, Weapons, and the upcoming Resident Evil movie. Both have an impressive lineup. No One Will Save You was a solid movie, mostly silent, but pretty good.

Sources have said that Cregger’s script will be an original take on the Siren Head story. Warner Bros. will be producing, after a five-way bidding war for the rights.

Seeing Siren Head heading to the big screen is going to be a thing for the next few years. I mentioned it in an article about a new era for Hollywood. After the success of Backrooms, Obsession and Iron Lung. You can bet your bottom dollar there will be more of these announcements incoming.
