Something For The Weekend

Hello Friday, we like you, you’re the start of our weekend. In the UK, we are having a bit of a heatwave, as in, the sun is out, and some people are taking off their coats. We had a lovely UK summer last year, it was on a Wednesday.

This weekend, I will be firing up the BBQ, making fire, and cooking meat. It’s almost primaeval. When I’m in a food coma, I will be watching some movies this weekend as well. Here are some suggestions.

  • The Red Shoes (1948) – Movie – A classic which Hawk seemed to have enjoyed.
  • Vivarium – Movie – I have seen this a few times, and I love it! The feeling of being trapped, with no way out, and with no explanation.
  • The Terminator – Movie – The original and still a classic 80s movie.
  • Jojo Rabbit – Movie – Yes, it’s Watiti, but it’s a damn good movie; it hits both ends of the emotional scale.
  • Wrecking Crew – Movie – The new one with Bautista and Momoa, going back to 80s action and a lot of stupid fun.
  • Anaconda – Movie – The new one, and rather entertaining, a bit meta and worth a giggle.
  • The Day the Earth Blew Up – Movie – The new Looney Tunes adventure, and it was perfectly average.
  • The Italian Job – Movie – The original and still one of the best movies of all time. Here’s an image you can hear.

  • Species – Movie – MMMMM…Natasha Henstridge.
  • Grizzly Night – Movie – New indie movie, but not great.
  • Bandits – Movie – The Bruce Willis movie and a decent comedy.

Well, there you go, that’s your weekend sorted. What are you watching?
