Friiiiiiiiday! The second best thing about the weekend is that it’s going to cool off here in the UK. It means you can watch some movies without having to put the subtitles on, because of the noise of the fans in the room.
So, you need something to watch over the weekend, here are some suggestions:
- The House on Haunted Hill (1959) – Movie – A William Castle classic with Vincent Price.
- Long Kiss Goodnight – Movie – Girl bossing done right, and man, does Gina Davis kick ass.
- Turkey Shoot – Movie – An 80’s hidden gem, about the rich hunting the poor for sport, and there’s a werewolf for some reason.
- Lone Wolf McQuade – Movie – The start of a Chuck Norris season for Stark.
- Toy Story 2 – Movie – It was on TV, and I watched it again, and I cried, again.
- Sleepaway Camp 2: Unhappy Campers – Movie – This was great fun, I had no idea how it was going to carry on the series, but it was good.
- Code of Silence – Movie – More action from Chuck.
- Big Lebowski – Movie – Still a great movie, with one of the coolest characters ever!

- Wuthering Heights – Movie – The new one, and not worth the effort to watch.
- Sleepaway Camp 3 – Movie – Just to carry on the series, and rather good fun.
- Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice – Movie – Action comedy with Vince Vaughn, and more Vince Vaughn.
- Hot Fuzz – Movie – Back when Wright was making near-perfect comedy movies.
- The Double – Movie – With Jessie Eisenberg, and a very clever ‘body double’ movie.
- Brawl on Cell Block 99 – Movie – Such a weird role for Vaughn, but such a great movie!
- One Piece – TV series – The newest version, and worth a binge watch.
There you go, that’s your weekend sort. What are you watching?
