Another Friday, another weekend, and the end of the football thing, the World Cup. All of those simple-minded fools might start watching something interesting, like movies! One can only hope.
With the weekend looming, here are some things you might like to watch.
- Damnation Alley – Movie – Easily the best movie to come out of 1977.
- The Empire Strikes Back – Movie – Something about a star war, it wasn’t bad, the muppet was funny.
- Ready or Not 2 – Movie – Not a bad sequel, if you didn’t mind the stupid fun of the first one.
- Starship Troopers – Movie – Still a great film, with explosions and bewbs.
- Deep Water – Movie – Another shark adventure that isn’t Jaws; read our review.
- The Thing – Movie – One of the best remakes in movie history.
- Pushing Tin – Movie – Like Happy Gilmour, but not as funny, I’ll admit, I’ve not seen it.
- Brian and Charles – Movie – British indie movie about a man who makes a robot friend. I love it!
- Rental Family – Movie – Nice to see Brendan Fraser back, again; read our review.
- Ready Player One – Movie – What should have been awesome ended up being lacklustre and dull.
- Charlie the Wonder Dog – Movie – An indie animation, but I had to turn it off, too much DEI for a kids movie.
- Speed Racer – Movie – Don’t make films on drugs, kids.
- Freddy’s Nightmare – Series – A half-decent anthology, with some good episodes.
- It Came From Outer Space – Movie – A classic sci-fi movie, and good fun.
- Dune 2 – Movie – Still really good, but I think a little bit of a let-down in the ending.
- Dragonslayer – Movie – The new one and sadly, not great.
