Something For The Weekend

The weekend is the best part of the week. It means movies, movies, and more movies. Well, if you’re lucky, you can watch movies. If you have kids who are on summer holiday, then you probably have to take them to crazy golf or something horrible outside.

The annoying part of watching movies over the weekend is choosing what to watch. Well, here is a list for you.

  • Eaten Alive – Movie – A Tobe Hooper effort, based on a true story, about a guy who fed people to an alligator.
  • Southern Comfort – Movie – A Walter Hill 80s classic.
  • Serenity – Movie – Back when Joss Whedon was making stuff.
  • The Lego Movie – Movie – The first one and EVERYTHING IS AWESOME!
  • The Dark and the Wicked – Movie – Heard it was a good modern horror, but I just had to look it up to remind myself of it.
  • Freddy’s Nightmares – TV series – Anthology series from the 80s, and pretty good.
  • Voidance – Indie Movie – Really not very good, and completely miscast.
  • Swordfish – Movie – Early Hugh Jackman actioner, with Halle Berry’s berries.

  • Nuts in May – TV Movie – The most English film you’ll ever see.
  • Two Minute Warning – Movie – A sniper is chased down by Chuck Heston.
  • Lee Cronin’s The Mummy – Movie – Paint-by-numbers horror, it’s more about the deaths than the story.
  • Last Night in Soho – Movie – An Edgar Wright horror, but not his best effort; great soundtrack though.
  • Normal – Movie – Good fun, see our review.
  • Primal Fear – Movie – A very good thriller with Ed Norton and his alto-ego.
  • Look What Happened to Rosemary’s Baby – TV Movie – Yes, a sequel to the original and absolutely terrible.

There you go, there’s your weekend sorted. What are you watching?
