Hello, Friday, our old friend. We like you; you’re the start of the weekend. I’m looking forward to this weekend, as I have the house to myself, so I can watch what I want without all of the usual, annoying questions: Where’ve I seen him? How come the eagles don’t just fly them to the mountain? Do we have to watch another movie with Jessica Chastain gets naked in it?
With the weekend looming, here are some viewing suggestions.
- Every Which Way but Loose – Movie – Enjoyable, but oddly goofy in places.
- Any Which Way You Can – Movie – Same as above.
- Masters of the Universe – Movie – The new one, and good fun, as it knew what it was.
- Close Encounters – Movie – Sorry, but I still love this movie.
- Sherlock Holmes – Movie – The Guy Ritchie version, with RDJ; it shouldn’t work, but it does.
- Dirty Rotten Scoundrels – Movie – This is still brilliant; Caine and Martin are a perfect comedy duo.
- Hungry – Movie – The hippo movie, and it was instantly forgettable.
- The Wolf House – Animation – From Eastern Europe, and I really liked it, but it was very, very odd.
- Wrath of Man – Movie – One of Wrenage’s comfort movies.
- To Live and Die in LA – Movie – Still a great thriller.
- Clarkson’s Farm – TV series – Stark calls it joyful, happy TV.
- Amazon Women on the Moon – Movie – A spoof series of sketches, and still very funny.
- Obsession – Movie – This movie was worth the hype; I’ve seen it three times now, and it’s still very good.
- Devil Wears Prada 2 – Movie – Utter waste of everyone’s time; it’s awful.
- The Deep Dark – Movie – A French monster movie.
