It’s a great Friday for me this weekend, as I’m on holiday! Next week I’ll be sunning myself on a nudey beach while drinking an exotic cocktail and watching the sun set over the horizon… at Bournemouth.
So, for this weekend, no movies for me, but what are you watching? Here’s a list to help you out.
- My Dinner with Andre – Movie – Not sure which version, as it was Wrenage that watched it.
- Return of the Living Dead 3 – Movie – Possibly one of the best zombie flicks ever.
- Dawn of the Planet of the Apes – Movie – This was the prequel / reboot to the original.
- Erin Brokovich – Movie – Julia Roberts defending the little people.
- A Time to Kill – Movie – A great John Grisham effort.
- Pope of Greenwich Village – Movie – An 80s action adventure with Mickey Rourke and Eric Roberts.
- Scary Movie 6 – Movie – Described as a comedy, but as funny as whooping cough when you already have diarrhoea.
- The Nice Guys – Movie – Now this is a great comedy with Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling.
- Die Hard 2 – Movie – The one in the airport.
- The Mandalorian and Grogu – Movie – A pretty great TV episode, but not a great movie.
- Kiss Kiss Bang Bang – Movie – Another underrated comedy, in the same vein as The Nice Guys.
- Chad Powers – TV series – A really good comedy with Glen Powell.
- Disclosure Day – Movie – Speilberg’s newest, that came and went without anyone really noticing; and just not very good.
- Runner Runner – Movie – Ben Affleck and Justin Timberlake, from back when poker movies were a thing.
- It Came from Beneath the Sea – Movie – A classic 50s creature feature, and an early Ray Harryhausen.
- The Island – Movie – An early Michael Bay action thriller, which is underrated.
