As Outposters, you are fully aware that Hollywood is nothing but a “monkey-see / monkey-do” moron parade, where executives who would struggle as a regional branch manager in a failing business in any other industry somehow manage to fail upwards, continuously. The Sony e-mail hack proved that these high-flyers are abject retards, simply clinging on at the top and making luck look like planning.
One of the frequent imbecilic dribbles from studios is that:
“If one is good, then more must be good-erer!”
And so, the usual suspects at Sony are seemingly about to derp all over their golden goose once more.
With Spider-Man: Brand New Day about to pass Star Wars: The Force Awakens to be the biggest domestic-grossing film of all time, Sony suits seem to have forgotten the abject failure that was SPUMC and everything to do with it, and think that horses, or in this case spiders, must be flogged.
They are apparently lining up as many as four separate live-action TV projects involving Spider-Man heroes via Sony Pictures Television and Prime Video. This comes following the cancellation of Spider-Noir at Prime last week.
The story was first published in The Ankler and they report that multiple writers are pitching new takes on other Spider-Man heroes. Those in the running are Alison Tatlock (Pluribus), Megan McDonnell (WandaVision), Kelvin Yu (American Born Chinese) and Ben Nedivi and Matt Wolpert (For All Mankind).
Rumors say these include Spider-Punk and Spider-Man 2099 projects.
