The Snyder boys are having a field day on the socials, as Zack has a new movie coming out, The Last Photograph. There is now a teaser trailer online.
Firstly, I’m getting annoyed that they put up warnings for things. Reacher now starts each episode with a warning about the violence. Duh, I know, it’s not like I’m watching it for Ritchson’s acting skills.
So, it looks like that Snyder hasn’t lost that lens he found with the smaller F-stop on it. There are shots with that deep DOF, as he did in Army of the Dead.
The Last Photograph stars Stuart Martin, Fra Fee, Jackie Kay, Sergio Herrera, Marlon Morneo, Ed Hughes, and Carolina Henao. Snyder directs and writes along with Kurt Johnstad. The two have worked on 300 and Rebel Moon together. Anyone remember Rebel Moon? It was A Bug’s Life, but more boring.
The story for The Last Photograph is:
An ex-DEA agent searches South American mountains for his murdered diplomat siblings’ children, aided by a junkie photographer who saw the killers, confronting past demons as reality blurs in remote wilderness.
The movie has been a passion project for Snyder, who’s been developing it since 2000. At one point, Christian Bale and Sean Penn were attached to the project, but that didn’t pan out.
The Last Photograph is due out in 2027.
