I’m a sucker for the Terrifier movies. When I first saw the poster, with Art the Clown, I thought it looked a bit cheesy. When I watched the first one, I was treated to a rather fun horror.
Damien Leone wrote and directed the first two movies. One good thing about him is he likes practical effects. There is very little CGI in the Terrifier movies, when one girl gets sawn in half, it was all practical. And it was only made on a budget of about $35,000.
The first movie was an introduction to Art and is a good movie. If you like horror, with an edge of comedy, I’d recommend it. The second movie introduces the character of Sienna, played by Lauren LaVera.
Terrifier 2 was good, although I felt it was about 30 minutes too long. Seeing Sienna taking on Art was good fun though. Again, recommended.
I won’t lie, I’m looking forward to seeing the third movie. More of Art, more of Sienna, who is very easy on the eye, and this time, it’s a Christmas. Here is the trailer.
Any movie with a creepy Santa Claus scaring kids, I’m there! The official story is:
Art the Clown is set to unleash chaos on the unsuspecting residents of Miles County as they peacefully drift off to sleep on Christmas Eve.
The cast includes LaVera, Daniel Roebuck, Jason Patric, Elliot Fullam, Charlotte McKee and Bryce Johnson. Leone is back as writer and director.
Terrifier 3 will be in cinemas 11th October.
