Trailer: GODZILLA MINUS ZERO

Rook! Godzirra! Too much? There is a new trailer for Godzilla Minus Zero, and damn it, it’s looking good.

The end of Godzilla Minus One was to prefect, it had Godz regenerating, and left it opened ended. Well, he’s back now two years later, and it seems he’s not the only monster in town. Japan is trying to rebuild after the last visit of the ‘man in a suit’ and the results of WWII.

That rebuilding is going to have to wait, as Godzilla is back and threatening Japan again. In the trailer, there’s a suggestion that they are trying to kill something bigger. It seems that King Ghidorah will appear in the new movie. There’s a screen shot doing the rounds on social media.

Sadly, I’m not big on the lore for Godzilla, but I know some of you nerds Outposters are. I take it this is a good thing?

Takashi Yamazaki is back as the writer and director of this sequel. Previously, Yamazaki has said he wants to balance the action with the human drama, which worked well in the first movie.

Godzilla Minus Zero will be Japan’s first-ever IMAX-produced movie. Which means the budget will be bigger than the very humble $15 million the first one was made on. Such a meagre budget, and it went on to win the Oscar for Best Visual Effects.

Godzilla Minus Zero is released in Japan on 3rd November, with a worldwide release on 6th November.
