Santa Claus is back and kicking ass in Violent Night 2.
The first Violent Night was pretty entertaining, and I don’t know, this looks like it could be fun as well. Well, apart from Mrs Claus saving the day, the girl bossing thing is so 5 years ago.
Violent Night 2 stars David Harbour, Maggie Nicole Robertson, Kristen Bell, Joe Pantoliano, Andrew Bachelor, Daniela Melchior, and Jared Harris. The creatives behind the original are back directing and writing. The story is:
Stranded in a crumbling New Jersey mall and cut off from the North Pole, Santa Claus is trapped dishing out violent justice to a ruthless Crime Lord and his henchmen overrunning the town’s mall.
Why does so much go on in shopping malls? The biggest adventure I had in a mall was when I managed to lose my wife and had a good look around a toy store.
It looks like Santa is now on the naughty list, just for murder? That seems a bit harsh. So, how is he going to deliver ‘justice’ to himself? And Mrs Claus, by the looks of things.
Pat Casey and Josh Miller, the writers, have said the sequel will be bigger and louder than the original. Saying that Violent Night lived in a “Die Hard space”. They didn’t want St Nick trapped in a mansion again, so this time, it’s more like ‘Die Hard in a mall’.
Violent Night 2 will be in theatres on 4th Dec. Ho ho ho! Which is what Harbour says in his ‘Dojo’.
