We reported a trailer for the Ballerina a while ago, but it turned out to have been a fake. In our defence, it’s difficult to tell the difference between an expensive Hollywood movie and a faked video by some guy on the internet…says a lot, doesn’t it?
The real trailer for the Ballerina has now dropped online and been checked by the greatest minds at the Last Movie Outpost. Well, Yoda said ‘I haven’t seen it yet, yeah, post it’, which is good enough for us.
So, the Ballerina is a female spin-off from a major brand? Like Black Widow. She was trained from a young age in a secret school for girls? Like Black Widow. She is Russian, like Black Widow.
The Ballerina stars Ana De Armas, Anjelica Huston, Norman Reedus, Ian McShane, Gabriel Byrne, Catalina Sandino Moreno and, the late, Lance Reddick. Len Wiseman is directing, with Shay Hatten and Derek Kolstad serving as writers.
The story is:
An assassin trained in the traditions of the Ruska Roma organization sets out to seek revenge after her father’s death.
I wonder how much Reeves is going to be in it? You can’t have a John Wick spin-off without John Wick, for reference, see Captain America: Brave New World.
The events of the Ballerina take place during the storyline of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum. It looked like Wick had a bulletproof suit on, which came later in the series of movies.
