There have been rumors of a Booster Gold adaptation for a while. Maybe it was a movie, maybe it was a TV show… then they settled on a show for HBO Max.
A showrunner was approached, but declined, then the whole thing got somewhat lost in the new DCU maelstrom.
Well, now a TV series based on the DC Comic is moving forward with a purpose at DC Studios.

According to Deadline, David Jenkins, the creator of Our Flag Means Death, has been set tot write the pilot.
If the pilot gets a series order, Jenkins will serve as showrunner.
Booster Gold was a disgraced college football star from the future who happened across time travelling technology. He used the tech to stage high-publicity heroics using his pre-knowledge of historical events.
Glen Powell, Anthony Starr, and Kumail Nanjiani have all been linked with the role.
Booster Gold was announced back in 2023 as part of James Gunn and Peter Safran’s new DCU, but then stalled until now.
