No, not the Alan Moore graphic novel that was so terribly butchered by Hollywood. It is not the slice of nightmarish brilliance that was the dark, twisted, and so very wrong BBC comedy show from the late 1990s and early 2000s. There is nothing for you here!

This is a remake of the classic 1960s British heist movie The League Of Gentlemen. Dexter Fletcher (Eddie the Eagle, Ghosted, Rocketman, and salvager of Bohemian Rhapsody) is reportedly attached to direct a “reimagining” at Paramount Pictures.
Jack Hawkins, Nigel Patrick, Roger Livesey, and Richard Attenborough starred in the original film. It followed former officers of the British Army who planned a bank robbery in the City of London.
They raid an army training camp in Dorset to get the weapons they need, and then frame the Irish terrorist group, the IRA, for the raid.

It is based on John Boland’s 1958 novel of the same name, and features a screenplay written by Bryan Forbes, who also co-starred in the film. It was directed by Basil Dearden.
Bek Smith (Moana 2) has written the script. It will be a contemporary take, set in the modern day. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fletcher has been involved in the project for some time, and the movie was set up at Skydance before the merger with Paramount.
Dalia Ibelhauptaitė, Michael Attenborough, and Emma Forbes executive produce.
