Trailer: GODZILLA MINUS ZERO

I hope I speak for everyone when I say, we’re all looking forward to Godzilla Minus Zero. I know that Minus One wasn’t everyone’s cuppa, but I have seen it about three times now, and it’s a crackingly good movie.

We have covered some of the details about the movie; now, Godzilla Minus Zero has a new trailer.

That final shot is pure brilliance, as you don’t know who’s going to be the tallest!

The plot of Godzilla Minus Zero has been covered, but in case you missed them. The director, Takashi Yamazaki, is back in the director’s chair. As are the original actors, Minami Hamabe and Sae Nagatani. The plot is thought to be:

“Following the devastation of Godzilla’s first rampage in ‘Godzilla Minus One,’ Kōichi Shikishima is determined to lead a quiet life, rebuilding his family with Noriko (Minami Hamabe) and young Akiko (Sae Nagatani) while stepping away from the nightmares of war and monsters.

However, peace is short-lived when Godzilla returns, fully regenerated, larger and more ferocious, while something ancient begins to stir beneath Mount Fuji, endangering the fragile nation and forcing Kōichi to reconsider his promise.

With stakes higher than ever, Kōichi reluctantly returns to the fight, teaming up with old comrades, and U.S.-Japan alliance forces to confront the two kaiju and protect those he loves, especially as Noriko’s cell connection to Godzilla strengthens, pulling her dangerously closer to the monster’s rage.”

Any guesses on what “ancient begins to stir beneath Mount Fuji” might be? I’m going for an outside bet: Batman. It’s a long shot, but it would certainly be a surprise.

Godzilla Minus Zero will be in cinemas, it says 11-06-2026, is that July or November? Stupid Americans! I had to look it up, it’s November.
