What do you need to moan about today?
Mine isn’t a moan, but I revisited Snowpiercer, the movie, again. I recall not thinking much of it the first time around, and now that I have seen it again, I stand by that first assessment. Overall, it’s a good movie, but I didn’t get the entire premise of a train just travelling around the world. This kind of story has been done before, but in a stationary place.
The other issue was Tilda Swinton. Don’t get me wrong, she is an amazing actress, one of the best working at the moment. However, the character she plays in Snowpiercer was basically Mrs Tweedy from Chicken Run. I just couldn’t get past it. The movie is not bad, but it’s not something I would return to again. I never bothered with the TV series.
