The MonsterVerse is going to carry on whether we like it or not, there have now been 5 movies and 2 TV shows. The newest movie in this universe sees Godzilla facing off against Kong again.
That really is a teaser, basically saying the titans are back. It also says that the movie has gone into production, this really is an early teaser. Let’s hope it doesn’t go down the same route as Batgirl.
The title is also revealed, Godzilla x Kong: Supernova. Adam Wingard, director of Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, expressed an interest in directing another MonsterVerse movie, but hasn’t returned.
Grant Sputore is the director of this new Godzilla x Kong movie. He’s got one movie under his belt. How many times do we see new directors get given a huge movie like this?

The cast for Godzilla x Kong: Supernova is Kaitlyn Dever, Jack O’Connell, Delroy Lindo, Dan Stevens, Sam Neill, Alycia Debnam-Carey, and Matthew Modine. The writers are Dave Callaham and Michael Lloyd Green. Callaham is known for movies like Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Wonder Woman 1984, Doom (2005), Zombieland: Double Tap and all four of The Expendables movies.

I thought a supernova was when a star explodes. Does that mean that Godzilla and Kong are going to stop the sun from exploding? Let’s be honest, it is the kind of storyline Hollywood would come up with.
