Who doesn’t love the aristocracy? Most people, I imagine- I mean, look at the royals. Anyways, there is a new Lady in town, Lady Isabella.
At first, it looks like a mildly interesting mockumentary, then it takes a twist.
Lady stars Sian Clifford, Juliet Cowan, Laurie Kynaston, and Olisa Odele. Samuel Abrahams directs and co-writes with Miranda Campbell Bowling. The story is:
Lady Isabella, aspires to be in the spotlight, and local talent show ‘Stately Stars’ provides her a break. However, high pressures and a loss of self lead to a surreal situation on her grand estate.

The release follows the film’s acclaimed theatrical run in UK cinemas, where it landed a perfect 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes. It received a four-star review from The Guardian’s Peter Bradshaw, praising its “laughs and unexpected tenderness”. Screen Daily hailed star Sian Clifford’s “memorable central performance” in what it called director Samuel Abrahams’ “impressive debut”, while The Upcoming named Lady “one of the best British debut features of the year”.
