Monday Movie Memes… And Moan

It’s a Bank Holiday Monday today in the UK – everything’s open, prices have doubled, and the banks are shut. I’m not saying I’m old, but I remember when Bank Holiday Monday meant everything really did close.

Hopefully, you’re not working and having a chilled day. I have to help with work around the house, which means I’ll probably end up in the emergency ward at the hospital. I’ve had worse Mondays.

What did you end up watching over the weekend? Anything good? Something terrible?

Fountain of Youth

Annoyingly, I wrote up a review for Fountain of Youth, the new Guy Ritchie movie, but managed not to save it. Then again, I’m not sure the whole movie warranted a full review. Still, it turned out to be a fun romp—and a pleasant surprise.

It stars John Krasinski, Natalie Portman, and Eiza Gonzelaz. The story is:

Two estranged siblings join forces to seek the legendary Fountain of Youth. Using historical clues, they embark on an epic quest filled with adventure. If successful, the mythical fountain could grant them immortality.

For me, Fountain of Youth was just what I wanted: a good old-fashioned action-adventure. It was National Treasure, mixed with a bit of Indiana Jones, and a hint of The Da Vinci Code/Angels & Demons.

Krasinski and Portman were a great team of brother and sister, and I really liked their chemistry. I’d give it a solid 3.5 out of 5 stars.

Monday’s Movie Memes

Now on with the memes for this week. Some of them are a little close to the mark; be careful when clicking on them. Don’t get into trouble for looking at them, laughing hysterically, and end up in HR again.

However, you can copy them, share them, and send them to that nice girl in accounting, and maybe ask her out on a date. If that works out and you end up married, the Last Movie Outpost is not responsible.

There are 12 memes this Monday, that’s how much we love you guys! Share some more memes, feel the love, and have a moan about what you saw this weekend?
