Well, that’s it. We had a good run, but everything must end. Let us not be sad because it has ended. Let us be happy that it happened. By it, I mean everything. Life on Earth. Humanity. Civilisation. It must all be about to end as surely this is one of the harbingers of the coming apocalypse – a Skibidi Toilet movie directed by Michael Bay.
This is not a drill. The Skibidi Toilet movie has officially begun production.
For those of you fortunate enough not to have children of the correct age for this absolute fucking bullshit, Skibidi Toilet started as a digital video short on YouTube. It was a machinima web series created by Alexey Gerasimov on his channel, DaFuq!?Boom!. It was made in Source Filmmaker.
The first episode was just an 11-second video uploaded to YouTube in which a head emerges from a toilet and starts singing. The series then developed to somehow encompass a huge war between cyborgs and singing toilers. Don’t ask. Just don’t.
It infected Roblox, and now even has t-shirts.
Bay and former Paramount Pictures president Adam Goodman have been developing the project, and heralding the end. Invisible Narratives, the newly formed digital content studio headed by Goodman, is producing, developing, and financing the film.
According to Animation Magazine (as reported at Dark Horizons), Bay has been working with his creative team for approaching a year, including Oscar-nominated production designer Jeffrey Beecroft (12 Monkeys, Transformers) and Oscar-winning VFX supervisor Rob Legato (Titanic, Avatar).
He’s also set to team with Sydney Sweeney on the live-action film adaptation of the arcade game OutRun. That won’t happen now, as the universe is ending.
