Something For The Weekend

I like Friday as a start to the weekend. At work, a sandwich van turns up, and I usually get a sub or a pasty (the pastry one, not the nipple one). It means I can get home, park my ass on the sofa for the weekend, and watch some movies.

There is so much to watch, though, so if only there were a list of things to enjoy. Not sure where I’m going with this now.

  • Fuze – Movie – New one, and not bad, according to Stark.
  • Mortal Kombat II – Movie – Again, the new version with Karl Urban, and way much better than the first one.
  • Iron Lung – Movie – The indie movie that no one talked about; it was a good idea, but a terrible movie.
  • Bullet Train – Movie – Stupidly loud action movie, but fun, if you ignore Bad Bunny.
  • 2001 – Movie – A great movie or pretentious crap?
  • Master of the Universe – Movie – Far more fun than it had any right to be, see our review.
  • Howard’s Way – TV Series – Stark again, we’re going to take away his TV privileges soon.
  • Obsession – Movie – A genuinely great indie movie, and worth the hype.

Obsession

  • Sea Fever – Movie – A killer parasite in the water in Ireland, good idea, but took itself too seriously.
  • Boss N***** – Movie – Yes, there’s a movie called that, and I had to watch it. The worst part was the song that went with it, same title, that I caught myself singing.
  • Monolith – Movie – Random find, but a subtle sci-fi thriller.
  • Last Man Standing – Movie – A classic, and underappreciated movie from Walter Hill, see our latest review.
  • In the Grey – Movie – The new one from Guy Ritchie, and pretty good fun.

There you go, there’s your weekend sorted. What are you watching?
