Well, we called it! In the wake of Supergirl stuttering, they were always going to prioritise the DC big guns again. There are already rumors that Wonder Woman has already been cast for Man Of Tomorrow, now the name of the new Batman might have leaked online.
Almost as if a frantic PR department somewhere is pushing distraction techniques.
An online scooper, John Campea, claims that James Gunn and Peter Safran’s DCU has found its Batman for The Brave and the Bold.
So who is it? Brit TV watchers will recognise him. The rumor is that English actor Tom Brittney (Grantchester, The Westies) has secured the role.
He was apparently one of the final three for the role of Superman, alongside Nicholas Hoult and eventual winner David Corenswet. Gunn referred to him as one of his favorite up-and-coming actors.
So maybe he always figured in their thinking.
This comes as The Wrap reports that DC Studios will prioritise Deathstroke and Bane as the next live-action movie after Man of Tomorrow, and that will lead into The Brave and the Bold.
Better get those contracts in place boys, the Ellison’s are coming.
