When they said they were fast-tracking this, we didn’t quite understand they meant this fast. It turns out the latest Jurassic World movie is already well into production, with shooting in Thailand already completed and production underway right now in Malta. They will return to the UK and wrap production in October.
Now, Universal Pictures has unveiled the first photos from the movie and the logo, confirming the title as Jurassic World: Rebirth.
David Koepp, who wrote Jurassic Park and The Lost World: Jurassic Park, wrote the script that impressed Universal suits so much they pushed this thing through in record time. This is, according to the studio, a new era with no returning characters.
An “All New Adventure”, you say?
Gareth Edwards (The Creator, Godzilla, Rogue One) directs the film which stars Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Bailey. Jurassic World: Rebirth has also let Mahershala Ali out of his never-ending Blade waiting room to get some fresh air, which is nice.
Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Rupert Friend, Luna Blaise, David Iacono, and Audrina Miranda also star.
