We showed you some images from The Electric State recently. It’s the newest movie from the Russo Brothers and now, there is a teaser online.
This does look interesting. There is a scene in there that reminds me of Akira. Pratt and Bobbie Brown don’t look too annoying either. The story is:
An orphaned teenager traverses the American West with a sweet, but mysterious, robot, and an eccentric drifter in search of her younger brother.
Nothing really new in that, but the visuals are looking impressive. The Russo’s do have a style about them, that things are simple, but impressive at the same time.
The Electric State stars Millie Bobbie Brown, Chris Pratt, Devyn Dalton, Ke Huy Quan, Stanley Tucci, Terry Notary, Martin Klebba, Patti Harrison and Randy Havens.
Interestingly, on the IMDb, uncredited in the movie is Jenny Slate, Alan Tudyk, Giancarlo Esposito, Woody Harrelson, Brian Cox, Billy Bob Thornton, Anothy Mackie, Jason Alexander and Greg Cromer. They are all mostly voice actors for some of the robots. There are more images online.
The Russo Brothers have an impressive catalogue of movies. I’m still going to say it, but Captain America: The Winter Soldier is, not just one of the best superhero movies, but one of the best movies ever.
The Electric State will be on Netflix on 14th March next year.
