FRIENDSHIP Trailer With Paul Rudd

It seems no one can pin down what the movie Friendship is. There is a new trailer online, and it’s made some people laugh and others scared.

The movie stars Paul Rudd, Tim Robinson, Kate Mara, Josh Segarra, Meredith Garretson, Carmen Christopher, Jack Dylan Grazer and Raphael Sbarge. Andrew DeYoung is the writer/director. The plot for Friendship is:

When new neighbor Brian threatens his quiet life, Craig Waterman struggles to protect his family’s security.

It seems that the story is about how two neighbours become friends, but then one of them decides that they don’t need to be BFFs. This doesn’t take very well and it gets all stalkery. We’ve all been there, right? Am I right guys?

Friendship seems to start off, all nice and innocent, but then takes a dramatic turn. Not the most of original of concepts, The Gift, starring Jason Bateman and Joel Egerton, springs to mind. Also; Single White Female, The Fan, The Cable Guy, Play Misty for Me, the list goes on.

The comments in the trailer are odd though:

“An absolute nightmare…”

“The funniest thing I’ve seen in my entire life”

What is the tone of Friendship? Scary or funny? I guess if you are a stalker, it’s funny. If you’re the stalkee, it’s a nightmare.

Friendship will be in cinemas on the 9th of May, so we will find out then.
